Fifteen years ago, after watching my elementary school-aged son trying to “remember" math, I decided I couldn’t wait any longer for his math education to improve. I needed to get involved. That’s when BR Math Club got started.

I love math, and understand it well. I have a masters degree in math, and worked in finance for the majority of my life. After having my first child, I left the industry, and it was here I realized the issues facing math education. So I decided to take on the role of a private math educator and entrepreneur, my first client being my son. Within six months, I saw a dramatic improvement in his understanding of concepts, critical thinking, and resilience, leading to an improved ability to solve difficult word problems and an increase in grades.

Over the last fifteen years, I’ve built a student base of over 50, and raised a new generation of math lovers. BR Math Club has participated in math competitions locally, statewide, and countrywide. We’ve placed top three locally, top 10 statewide, and top 11 countrywide at the elementary school competition level, also competition at the middle school competition level. Our students take the most advanced math classes on offer in both public and private schools, and are accepted into the best universities for engineering and science degrees. They’re all on track for very exciting careers.

And now, my former students are working alongside me to pass forward their love and appreciation for math. Together, our team of nine teaches grades 4 to Multivariable Calculus.

I love working with children and helping them reach their potentials. And for that, I have the best job in the world.
